MATAASNAKAHOY-CANADIAN BLOGSITE.
Mataasnakahoy literally means "Tall Tree". Mataasnakahoy is a municipality in Batangas, Philippines. It was created as a town on January 1, 1932. MKAHOY, as it is fondly called, has 16 barangays, population of about 40,000 and total land area of 2,376hectares. Mataasnakahoy is known for its cool climate due to its high elevation 379 metres (1,240 ft). MKAHOY is one of the lakeside towns of Taal Lake and is about 100 km South of Manila.

I hope everbody is doing well.
Our first MKAHOY reunion is only 30 days away on July 25, 2009, Saturday in Kettleby, Ontario.
I would like to request all attendees to:
1) Email me the names of each member of your family or friends who are attending
2) Our Reunion Finance Committee needs our contribution. Due to logistic constraints, we will collect your contribution, $25 for individuals or couple with 1 child; $75 for a family, on Saturday-July 25, at the entrance. You may send your contribution anytime to either Olga T. or Sabel O.

At The Fort
It is not surprising that even on weeknights the bars and clubs at the Fort are full. There are live bands and drinks/foods are realy good.

Olan Silva's Piggery

Pig farms and chicken poultry farms are popular types of agri business in MKAHOY.
In about 4-5 months, these piglets will be ready for the market.

Facilities Available: Swimming Pool, Tennis Court, Pond for Canoeing, Basketball and Volleyball
Attendees, please bring swim suits, shorts, spare clothes(especially for your kids) towels, soaps/shampoos, Sun block lotion, and life jacket/s- if you have. You may bring folding table, chairs, Open Tent and 1 Garbage Bag/family. Nely and Gord earlier offered their place ( room or tents) for some ( not all) who need to stay overnight.
